We are aiming to build a special interest group on public engagement and nanoscience and nanotechnology, where an exchange of ideas on the particularities of such work are the focus. Last week I attended the advanced course on Public Communication and Applied Ethics of Nanotechnology in Oxford. Although I have some background in the area of media engagement of nanotechnology, including my Masters dissertation, this course was actually a very good “starting point” for my PhD research!
